Before joining Clemson University, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Virginia Tech and Cornell University. I hold a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.S. and B.S. in Bioenvironmental Systems Engineering from National Taiwan University. My research focuses on modeling human–water systems to understand interactions among the environment, infrastructure, technology, and society for smarter water planning and management. Outside of work, I enjoy badminton and hiking.
Before joining Clemson University as a Ph.D. student, I completed my Master’s degree in Hydraulics and Water Resources Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, India, and my Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Kashmir, India. During my master’s research, I investigated how daily rainfall characteristics influence surface soil moisture variability. At Clemson, I am now exploring human-water systems, focusing on the complex interactions between society, infrastructure, and water resources. Outside of research, I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors.
