Ph.D. students

LINS Lab recruits motivated Ph.D. students to advance research in water resources management, human–water systems, decision analytics, water-use science, socio-technical resilience, and risk assessment.

Ph.D. students in the lab are fully supported through graduate research and/or teaching assistantships. We welcome applicants with backgrounds in engineering, hydrology, statistics, systems, computer science, climate science, environmental science, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and related fields. Strong programming skills and experience in systems analysis are preferred.

For Ph.D. study, you must also apply to the appropriate graduate program at Clemson University. Postdoctoral and visiting scholars

We welcome inquiries from postdoctoral researchers and visiting scholars whose interests complement the lab’s work. Opportunities depend on research alignment, project needs, and available or external funding.

Prospective scholars should share a CV, a brief description of their proposed research and expected visit or appointment period, and information about current or anticipated funding. We are also happy to discuss collaborative fellowship and proposal opportunities.

Undergraduate and M.S. researchers

We offer part-time research and internship opportunities for undergraduate and master’s students who are interested in our mission and projects. These positions may be supported through research assistantships or external fellowship programs.
